Payam Parvinchiha, MD, MPH is a board-certified physician and the Chief Medical Officer of Pine Park Health. He brings extensive experience in healthcare leadership and a commitment to patient-centered care. Before his current role, he served as Interim Chief Medical Officer at SCAN Health Plan, where he led medical strategy, quality care delivery, and provider relationships. He created SCAN’s first care delivery program Embrace that provided primary care to residents of Senior Living communities. He also held key positions at SCAN, including Corporate Vice President of Values Based Care and Corporate Vice President of Network Quality and Innovation.
In his role at CareMore Health, he was the National Director of CMMI Products and I-SNP, where he played a critical role in developing CareMore's first Direct Contracting Entity. He also served as Medical Director, overseeing a home-based medical model for seniors. At Anthem, he served as Medical Director of Virtual Health, where he built a high-risk virtual disease management program. His background includes extensive experience as a primary care provider, hospitalist, and skilled nursing and hospice medical director, providing a comprehensive understanding of patient needs and driving transformational strategies in healthcare.
Dr. Parvinchiha's vision for Pine Park Health is to transform primary care for seniors by focusing on enhancing the clinician experience and integrating advanced care models that focus on comprehensive, coordinated care. Under his guidance, Pine Park Health is dedicated to pioneering innovative care delivery methods to create a fulfilling work-life balance for clinicians.
He holds a Medical Degree from Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine and a Master of Public Health from the University of Southern California. Dr. Parvinchiha completed his Internal Medicine residency at UC Irvine. Outside of his professional life, he enjoys spending time with his family and exploring the diverse cultural and natural offerings of California.
